Nancy Woodall/ Bio
First of all I want to thank God for all his blessings on me. My name is Nancy Woodall,I was born in a small town called Slapout, about fifty miles north of Montgomery Alabama. Both my parents worked so I spent a lot of time with my grand parents on their farm. There we all worked in the fields and learned first hand about reeping and sewing, and how if you are working the Lord knows when you need that refreshing breeze and he always provides just when you need it most. The same is true when you work for the Lord, don't give up when times get hard, you will see the Lord will provide what you need when you need it most. I spent lots of sundays in church with my grandparents .I loved to hear my grandmother sing and wanted to sing from the heart just like her, everyone could tell she loved the Lord and believed what she was singing about. I was very shy growing up eventhough looking back now there were times the Lord was telling me to venture out but I was to afraid and didn't. I am now married to a wonderful man named Johnnie whom I love very much. The Lord put us together in 1998 eventhough we had met each other in 1980 , we had to wait for the Lords time for us to be together.
In the early part of 2004 I kept feeling the Lord telling me it's time to share the gift of singing that he had given me, so I spoke to our piano player at the small church we were going to and told him how I was feeling. A few weeks later we were at church on a Wednesday night with only eight people there, the piano player looked at me in the back of the room and said "are you ready?"I couldn't say no because I had asked him quite a few times. I went to the front and he said "just start singing ,I'll catch up". He plays by ear and we had not practiced, but about half way through the song he did catch up. Our old Pastor still laughs and says my knees were knocking almost as loud as I was singing. I haven't stoped singing yet and am not planing on stopingas long as there is breath in me.
Now my husband and I attend Yarbrough Street Baptist Church in Montgomery where Johnnie has been licensed as a Preacher, is a Deacon and soon to be teacher. I am in the choir and am a sunday school teacher. We love our church, our Pastor and his family, and all of our church family but most of all our Lord Jesus Christ who gave his life so we can have everlasting life with him in Heaven. We both believe the Lord is coming back very soon so we all need to spread Gods word and help to get as many into his kingdom as we possably can. Singing is where the Lord has put me to help.
