PRESIDENT’S LETTER
Hey everybody!!
I’m back!! I’d like to say it’s an honor to be your president this year and I’m excited because I believe God’s gonna do great things for us this year which He’s already started. I would like to personally welcome back Derrick Snellgrove and his new group “Chosen”, man what a sound!! God has truly blessed you all with awesome talents! I’d also like to welcome back Ms. Regina Lyles whom God has also blessed with a great talent! I can’t leave out our new fans Becky Bozeman, Anthony and Deanne. What a way to start out a new year!! I also want to thank all of our current members and I excited about what God has in store for all of you!
I want to welcome our new officers for 2011-2012 Pat Van Cor (2nd vice president (Convention), Regina Lyles (1st vice president membership) and Miss Ruby Johnson (treasurer) and a special thanks to my wife Betty for taking the secretary and newsletter positions! That’s quite a lineup and I have no doubt that they are all going to do an outstanding job! You know, I’ve seen a lot of Christians, (sometimes including myself) looking like they’ve lost their best friend. I would like to see that change this year and see a lot more smiles and excitement because, after all we are doing the Master’s work and that is something to be excited about! I love gospel music, as a matter a fact I practically live and breathe it!! I always carry a gospel song around in my mind because when I’m down, like we all get from time to time; it lifts my spirits and helps me to keep going! I love Jason Crabb’s new song, “Sometimes I Cry” because it touches the heart of many Christians who let this world; that, by the way, Jesus has defeated, get them down. I don’t think God minds if we get down, He just don’t want us to stay there! This year let’s all make a commitment to try to lift someone’s spirits if we see them hurting or worried and pray with and for them! I also don’t want to hear of anyone worrying about CASGMA. I’ll admit that Satan has gotten a hold of me a few times and I’ve been pessimistic (how do like that word!) about our CASGMA family and I want to apologize to all of you for that. I want to turn things upside down for our Lord and I hope all of you feel the same, if not, get that way! If we stay in sincere prayer to the Father He will here us and bless our socks off! I believe it and I hope you do too!
So, let’s get busy encouraging each other and have a great year, okay? I love yall!
